August 4^th, 2004 Officers’ Meeting:

Officers Present: President, Secretary, VP Public Relations, Sergeant at Arms, Treasurer, VP Education

• The Club Success Plan was discussed and how to achieve the DCP again. Scott pulled out potential goals and members who may achieve these goals. Since the VP Membership was unable to attend the meeting, membership goals will be discussed at the next officers’ meeting. We need to have 20 members as of June 30, 2005. There’s added pressure as well, since Mentors of Focus has a bet (desert) with the Lake Oswego club that we’ll be the first (of the two clubs) to achieve all 10 DCP objectives. We will need to have at least 20 members after our April renewal to ensure victory!

• Club Treasury: We have approximately $80 in our bank account available for our use. Our September renewals will replenish the account.

• Public Relations: We are listed on MyWilsonville.com and have a free ad in the Oregonian. The Wilsonville Spokesman charges $65 for a two-week ad. Scott stated that historically MOF has only had one person visit as a result of a “paid” ad, so it was agreed not to waste our money on one. We also discussed local contacts. Possibilities include putting a brochure in local company new hire packets or asking local companies to put an ad on their bulletin boards. We can also use members to hand out fliers and continue our “bring a friend” campaigns.

• Club Secretary: Roxanne Christenson has accepted another position in NW Portland, so will be unable to continue in her role as secretary. MOF will need to find someone to take over that role.
