Proposed Agenda:

Action: President Armillas  brought up subject of:

              1) membership recruiting strategies.

                a) Our club has 12 members currently with three more

                    possibilities.

                b) President Armillas will contact HR from Xerox as soon as

                    she receives names from Dan and Jai.

                c) Dan Hahn and Jai Jain will contact HR people in their

                   work areas to discuss benefits Toastmasters.  Dan –

                   Becky, Jim Rise, Cathy Jones.  Jai –Jonathan and Suzie

                   Procter.

               d) Discussion of taking a traveling open house to Xerox

                   during their lunch hour. Jai Jain suggested renting a room

                   at the library for the open house.  Scott Stevenson will

                   check on this possibility.

            5) Need for VP Membership – Cathey will invite Michele Tedd

                to take on this role. This needs to be done before January.

             6) Discussion on recent speech contest.  Cathey plans to

                 attend the Division contest October 16, 2007

             7) Jai Jain would like to talk to Gary Schmidt, the second VP

                 of Toastmasters International.  He will contact him possibly

                 at the speech contest October 16, 2007.

Previous Action: 

                We suggested rotating the new member sign-up

                responsibilities to rotate among the officers.  This is a

                leadership training opportunity to give every one

                experience in case they have the responsibility while

                holding another future office in TM.
