Why I joined   
Toastmasters:   
   My initial reason for joining Toastmasters was to tackle my crippling fear of public speaking. I could see that fear preventing myself from accepting challenges and responsibilities.  When I joined, I made the decision -- no more fear, time to move forward!
     
What Toastmasters    
has done for me:   
   My heart doesn't pound as much when I speak in front of people.  When I am nervous, I am learning to control it by eliminating filler words and apologies.  I can convey my thoughts more effectively.  I have actually gotten compliments after giving presentations at work; my co-workers now say I present in an interesting, well thought out, and passionate manner. 
     

Hobbies:   

 Cooking, travel, arts & crafts, anything outdoors, and music.
